Perplexed Pilgrim is No More

The Perplexed Pilgrim letterbox at the Cosumnes River Preserve near
Galt is gone. The area where it was hidden has been cleaned, with no
trace left of our little fellow. We will not replace it in this
preserve.

Ah shoot! That was one of the few boxes I didn't pick up on my recent
boxing trip to the south.

We don't know how long it has been gone. Today was our first
maintenance trip to the box since placing it late last October. Parts
of the trail were under water and there was evidence that some
cleaning up had been done along the way. We never received any
reports from anyone who had ever searched for this letterbox. It's
possible it's been gone awhile.
